About us
Every afternoon, our house changes.
The morning gives way to footsteps at the gate. School bags find their place. The kettle boils. A football rolls across the yard. Around a table, chess pieces move and conversations begin.
At first glance, it looks like an ordinary afternoon.
But these ordinary moments are where confidence grows, curiosity is encouraged and lives begin to take shape.
This is House of Hope & Glory.
Raising the next generation.
We believe every child carries something remarkable within them: gifts, strengths and potential waiting to be discovered and developed.
Our role is to create the relationships, opportunities and encouragement that help those things emerge. To nurture character, curiosity and confidence, and to give children room to discover who they are and what they can contribute.
And children don't grow alone.
Parents, grandparents, volunteers, teachers, neighbours and local businesses all have a part to play in raising the next generation.
Because when we invest in people, we strengthen the community around them.
The leaders our communities need tomorrow are being shaped in the ordinary moments of today: around a shared meal, over an open book, on a football field, across a chess board, and in the quiet confidence that comes from knowing someone believes in you.
This is the heart of House of Hope & Glory. A community where children are raised, leaders are formed, and hope is lived, one ordinary afternoon at a time.
Growing leaders. Strengthening community.
Three words. One journey.
House
More than a building. A place of safety, welcome, comfort and belonging, where a child is known before they are measured.
Hope
Not wishful thinking, but courageous confidence that tomorrow can be different from today. Hope grows through relationships, opportunity and consistency.
Glory
Not fame, but revealed identity. Helping children see themselves rightly, recognise their inherent worth, develop their gifts and grow into leaders who strengthen their communities.
House of Hope & Glory exists to create spaces where children discover they belong, find the courage to believe their future can be different, and become who they were always created to be.
How we work.
- Children are never defined by poverty.
- We walk alongside communities. We do not rescue them.
- Programmes are the pathway, not the purpose.
- Belonging comes before transformation.
- We measure impact with integrity while telling stories with dignity.
- Growing leaders is how communities become stronger.
Where it began.
It started with one woman who believed that no child should go hungry. In June 2023, that conviction became House of Hope & Glory.
What began with a simple act of care has grown into a community movement rooted in a bigger belief: that every child deserves the opportunity to discover hope, develop self-belief and find purpose.
Today, that conviction is carried by children and families, staff and volunteers, community partners and a dedicated board, each playing a part in growing individuals and strengthening the community around them.
Our programmes may look different, but the conviction remains the same.
Give hope. Build character. Grow leaders. Strengthen community.
Come and see.
